WHAT'S NEW IN TOURNAMENT PLUS 2.05?
|
|
|
- Freestyle type Bout Slips can be printed as an option by
selecting “Use Freestyle Bout Slips” in the Setup Options screen.
|
|
|
- Certain reports can now be saved as Adobe Acrobat *.pdf files. These reports include
Final Bracket Sheets
Final Results of each medal match
Final Team Standings (Scores)
This allows easy transfer of these reports by email, to a website or
to save to disk. Bracket sheets
viewed from the Final Bracket Sheets *.pdf file can be individually printed
and retain all the features of the sheets printed directly from Tournament
Plus. This feature is accessed
from the menu bar at Reports - Output Results to Disk.
In order to use this feature, two files are copied to your hard drive
in the Tournament Plus installation directory.
These files are “dynapdf.dll” and “StrStorage.dll”.
|
|
|
- You
can now print a single bout slip directly from the Bracket Sheet
screen. Simply right-click with your mouse on the bout number. This will open a pop-up menu
allowing you to select “Print this Bout Slip”.
|
|
|
- An option to run 8-person brackets with single elimination in
both the first and second rounds has been added.
This was previously available for 16 and 32-person brackets.
This option essentially makes an 8-person bracket a single
elimination bracket with the losers of the Championship Semi Finals
wrestling for 3rd place.
This option can be chosen from the individual bracket sheet
screens.
|
|
|
- Added the ability to print Weigh-In / Registration Cards on
printers that will only handle smaller paper sizes by centering them in the
paper tray. This is selected in
the menu bar under Tools.
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Added another Match Numbering option that allows numbering
matches sequentially with all brackets starting at the same time
(first round).
While this can complicate the process of keeping up with rounds
and printing out bracket sheets and bout slip, it will have all
smaller brackets finishing much sooner.
Other options have all finals matches finishing in the same
round or all round robin matches starting later in the tournament so
they are not spread out over the entire day.
|
|
|
- A new Seeding Table has been added that will allow you to
seed any number of wrestlers in a bracket. It can also be used to help
separate wrestlers from the same team.
It still requires that the wrestlers be entered in the
Registration table, but does have a lot of flexibility. You can choose between
randomly assigning byes or assigning them to the top seeds.
|
|
|
- An option has been added to double elimination brackets to
allow you to change the name and team of the wrestler that has been
brought into the Consolation side following a loss in the Championship
side.
The cross-bracketing is consistent with standard bracketing
practices, but sometimes you get either two wrestlers from the same
team or two wrestlers who have met already and you would like to
change the order that they were brought down.
To do this, you can right click with the mouse on the name of
the wrestler brought down to the Consolation side.
A small pop-up menu will appear.
Click on “Change the Wrestler in This Match”.

When prompted, type in the name and the team for the wrestler
you want in this spot. Do the same thing in the second
corresponding spot to swap the two wrestlers. This action will
also automatically check the box at the top of the screen to “Cancel
Auto Update” for this bracket only. If Auto Update is allowed,
the program will attempt to place the wrestlers in the original, as
bracketed positions.
